The GAS EC1 gives you thermostatic control of your EC intake and extraction fans in one simple, effective, highly efficient unit. Position your probe, set your target room temperature on the EC1, and the controller will adjust your fans to run at speeds that are in line with your desired conditions.
This is an incredibly useful bit of kit to have in a country where outdoor climatic fluctuations can frequently and suddenly affect indoor conditions year-round. If the EC1 detects a fall in room temperature it gently reduces airflow, when things warm up the EC1 brings things back up to speed.
For extra functionality the EC1 also allows you to set maximum and minimum fan speeds. This helps ensure that power is not used unnecessarily, that noise is minimised, and that extraction is always sufficient to maintain control over nuisance odours, CO2 levels, and humidity.
Though straightforward and rugged the unit is executed to GAS’ customary levels of quality and its reliability is superb. Should temperatures exceed those set on the EC1 a warning LED is triggered allowing you to address the issue in good time. Designed with busy growing spaces in mind, the EC1 is driven by the fans themselves so no external power supply is required.
